Inventory and diagnosis
During the second quarter of 2008, studies were made of the state of biotechnology regulation in the MERCOSUR, the diagnostic of financing tools for biotechnology enterprises and the estimate of MERCOSUR biotechnology capacities. Within this, scientific and technological production in biotechnology was analysed in MERCOSUR countries, as well as biotechnology-dedicated human resources, the number of research centres, biotechnology enterprises in the region and an estimate of the use of results of biotechnology activities for production.
